Former Biochemistry Hall, Lincoln, Nebraska<\/strong>
\nNew Horizons was contracted by the University of Nebraska – Lincoln to provide asbestos abatement and building demolition for the former Biochemistry Hall located in the middle of UNL’s East Campus. Pictured is New Horizons crew dismantling exterior wall paneling inside the busy, on-going campus. The project came in on schedule and budget, with work being completed during Summer 2015.

Bancroft School Redevelopment, Kansas City, Missouri<\/strong>
\nNew Horizons was proud to be a part of the Bancroft School Redevelopment project with Make It Right, a non-profit organization out of Los Angeles founded by Brad Pitt, and the Dalmark Development Group, that turned a former elementary school into housing units with amenities such as a gymnasium and auditorium. New Horizons provided asbestos sampling and abatement, lead-based paint inspection, radon testing, lead-based paint stabilization, interior demolition, and building cleanup for the project.

63rd & Prospect Redevelopment, Kansas City, Missouri<\/strong>
\nThe area at 63rd and Prospect, was envisioned as Citadel Plaza, a shopping center with retail and housing. As homes were town down, the developer failed to properly monitor asbestos removal, and the project fell apart. In 2012, a settlement was reached and gave the City of Kansas City, Missouri the land. New Horizons was selected by the City to play a vital role in the 63rd & Prospect Redevelopment Project. New Horizons established a regulated area and provided a licensed Asbestos Supervisor to oversee excavation. New Horizons worked to help excavation stay on clean soil, but when contaminated soil was encountered, New Horizons used engineering controls to avoid any contamination. Soil found to be clean was used as back fill, while New Horizons properly disposed of any debris and soil found to be contaminated by asbestos.

Heer’s Building Redevelopment, Springfield, Missouri<\/strong>
\nNew Horizons was selected by Heer’s Luxury Living, LLC, to be a part of the Heer’s Building Redevelopment project in Springfield, Missouri. The former department store was converted into a luxury apartment building. New Horizons started working on the project in the spring of 2013 when the building was under contract. New Horizons completed a complete building Hazardous Material Inspection and a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment. New Horizons’ tasks also included providing asbestos abatement, lead-based paint stabilization, and the interior demolition, such as ceilings, for the project. New Horizons has turned key the project to handle all environmental and interior demolition for the client.

Village of Yorkshire, Thornton, Colorado<\/strong>
\nNew Horizons was selected by Adams County Housing Authority to complete environmental and select demolition work for the Village of Yorkshire remodeling project. The apartment complex is being remodeled for continued use.
