Long-term Partnership Among Two Women Leads to Acquisition

KANSAS CITY, MO – New Horizons Enterprises, LLC acquired Angel Environmental, which was founded in 2003 and provides disposal services for hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams. The two companies have been working in partnership for several years. New Horizons provides environmental management and contracting services, specializing in demolition projects. Their consultants test for environmental hazards, such as asbestos, lead-based paint, mold and radon and perform Phase I and Phase II ESA’s which often results in the need for waste disposal and abatement, creating a natural synergy for the two companies.

Angel Environmental is now operating as a subsidiary of New Horizons, which employs 85 employees based in Kansas City, Missouri.

Monica Baker
After 20 years in business, Angel Environmental founder Monica Baker wanted a succession plan.
The acquisition allows her company to live on once she is ready to retire in the future. She was excited for the opportunity to join forces with New Horizons to gain access to deeper personnel resources.
Stephanie Isaacson
Stephanie Isaacson, CEO of New Horizons, was eager to bring an additional service in-house. “We are always seeking new and improved ways to serve our clients. The addition of Monica’s expertise to the New Horizons team provides a great opportunity to cross-train staff and grow to serve new clients in addition to her existing connections.”
