Stephanie Isaacson – President & CEO
Stephanie Isaacson is the President and CEO of the 100% woman-owned New Horizons. With a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in environmental science, a master’s degree in business administration, and over 16 years experience in the demolition, environmental contracting and consulting fields, Stephanie is a force to be reckoned with. Under Stephanie’s leadership, New Horizons has grown from one employee to over 80 employees and two office locations in the past 10 years. Stephanie has received the Women Impacting Public Policy “Member to Watch” award, has been recognized as one of the twenty-five “Women Who Mean Business” by the Kansas City Business Journal, and received the Alumni Achievement Award from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, among her many honors in the professional world. When not making moves in the environmental sector, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband Andy and daughter Madison, attending Royals, Chiefs and Husker games and relaxing at home with their puppies.
William (Bill) Bush III – Vice President
Bill is the Vice President of New Horizons and has been involved in the demolition, environmental contracting and consulting fields since 1992. Bill holds a business degree from Avila University. Bill uses the knowledge gained from working his way up the ranks in asbestos abatement and environmental contracting, to being actively involved in projects and helping lower overheads to pass those savings on to clients. When forming New Horizons, Bill and Stephanie believed that comprehensive and innovative environmental solutions did not have to be exorbitantly expensive and together they designed a company to be efficient, thorough, and cost effictive. Bill and his family reside in Kansas City and enjoy spending weekends at the lake.
Scott Stewart – Estimator
Scott has over 12 years experience involving project management for environmental contracting and consulting and has been with New Horizons since the company’s formation. Since coming to New Horizons, Scott has managed the turn-key field operations for demolition, asbestos, mold and lead-based paint inspections, and abatement operations for thousands of projects. Scott lives in Kansas City and on the weekends you can find him at sporting events or fishing. Scott is a certified asbestos inspector, management planner and supervisor, lead-based paint inspector and RRP lead-safe certified renovator, and air sampling professional.
Dustin Huenink – Estimator
Dustin has a wide range of experience in the environmental management field, managing numerous projects for both government and private clients as well as overseas. Dustin is a certified asbestos inspector, ASTM certified Phase I and Phase II ESA’s for Commercial Real Estate, ISO 14001, and a Registered Environmental Manager with the National Registry of Environmental Professionals. Dustin served with the United States Army for over 9 years. He was deployed with the 1-502nd Infantry and served in combat during the intital ground invasion of Iraq in 2003. The last four years of service, Dustin was assiged to the 101st Airborne Division at Ft. Campbell, KY. Dustin holds a bachelor of science and a masters in business management. Dustin lives outside of Lincoln with his wife and three children and is an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan.
Paul Waid – Estimator
Paul is an estimator and project manager for New Horizons and has been in the construction industry for most of his life. Starting at 14 years old, he would work on maintaining rental properties with a friend whose dad was the property manager. Paul worked construction through high school and while attending Drake University. Since then, Paul has started his own businesses – doing retail tenant finishes and lead based paint removal and plaster repair. Paul then continued his career as a construction manager. Paul was born and raised in Kansas City. When he isn’t working, Paul enjoys going to his lake cabin, boating with his grandchildren, and playing golf with his family.
Dan Emken – Estimator
Dan oversees estimating new work and projects for New Horizons. Dan has extensive knowledge in safety and rigging, allowing projects to be completed safely and efficiently. Dan graduated from the University of Nebraska – Kearney with a degree in business administration. Dan loves baseball – especially the Yankees, the Huskers, spending time with his family, and gardening. Dan and his family live in Lincoln, NE.
MacKenzie Davis – Environmental Scientist
MacKenzie is an environmental scientist and manages the consulting division for New Horizons. MacKenzie came to New Horizons after receiving her bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from the University of Kansas in 2013. MacKenzie is a licensed asbestos inspector, lead hazard risk assessor, NRPP/AARST certified radon measurement specialist, SWPPP certified inspector, 40 hour HAZWOPPER, and is RRP lead-safe certified renovator. She has managed numerous consulting projects along with Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments and hazardous waste management and disposal. MacKenzie lives in Kansas City and spends her free time with family and friends, rock climbing and playing sand volleyball.
